For 30 consecutive days, The LOLO Initiative published one story each day highlighting the realities of living with HIV, challenging stigma, correcting misinformation, and amplifying the voices of people affected by the epidemic. The campaign explored themes including: HIV stigma and discrimination, women’s experiences with diagnosis and treatment, myths and misconceptions about HIV, Mental health and resilience access to healthcare, hope, survival, and community support. Through daily storytelling, the campaign sought to humanize HIV and encourage more compassionate conversations about the condition.

Outcomes

30 stories published over 30 days, increased public engagement on HIV awareness content, expanded conversations around stigma and women’s health.

The LOLO Initiative raised funds for six indigent women living with HIV in Benin City. These women are mothers, survivors, and breadwinners, facing illness, poverty, and the daily weight of managing their health with little to no resources.The funds were to provide immediate feeding support, medication assistance, and seed funding to help these women regain their independence.Our target was ₦1,200,000.
